How can I become a DATEV Marktplatz-Partner once I have been onboarded?
This requires the successful integration of a DATEV Datenservice as well as its active use by end customers. Further information on the application process can be found here.
How much does it cost to get started?
The onboarding fee is €1,500 plus VAT. This includes four hours of consultation. If additional work is required (e.g. due to the repetition of a technical test), the fee will be charged according to the current hourly rate (210.00 euros per hour - min. 1/2 hour, thereafter every 1/4 hour or part thereof, plus VAT). Additional costs will be incurred if you do not have your own test system with DATEV software to reproduce the entire data flow during the technical audit. The availability of a test system for the technical audit (live environment) is mandatory. We also recommend this later on, e.g. to be able to reproduce your customers' specific error constellations.
When are these costs due?
The one-time onboarding fee of €1,500 plus VAT is due immediately after ordering it. You can order it when you book your first meeting with us at www.datev.de/online-kalender-schnittstellen.
Are there any ongoing costs?
Any direct costs are shown in the documentation where applicable. However, for most DATEV Datenservices, the end user may incur additional ongoing costs. These are listed in the DATEV price list.
What requirements does DATEV have for my integration and the use of its API gateway?
The integration of a DATEV Data Services takes place as part of an onboarding process accompanied by consultants from DATEV. We have summarized the requirements for integrations here.
I only want to use the API integration for myself and not commercially. Is there a simplified process in this case?
No, there is one onboarding process for all integrations based on our closed beta experience.
Where can I get a DATEV test system if I do not have one?
Several DATEV Solution Partners offer test systems with the required DATEV applications. These test and development environments are specially designed to meet the needs of software developers and are available online. This allows you to test your API integration with the latest DATEV program versions with little effort. The following Solution Partners offer such solutions:

Is it advisable to seek the advice of a tax consultant when developing the interface?
There is no general requirement from DATEV to develop the interface with a tax advisor. Experience has shown that, in addition to the technical functionality, the professional quality of an integration is significantly higher if a tax advisor is involved as a potential user in the development of the interface.
