The API for Document Management provides access to Document Filing(Dokumentenablage), Document Filing (Dokumentenablage) with Revision management  and DATEV DMS. This System provides a centralized management of files and their structured and a large range of attributes. From now on the term DATEV Document Management representates the three programs Document Filing(Dokumentenablage), Document Filing (Dokumentenablage) with Revision management and DATEV DMS.

Documents in DATEV Document Management include the following elements:

  • One or more files in a typical file format (e. g. tif, pdf, docx …)
  • Meta data to describe the filing system and the workflow
  • Structure of a document, because a document can include multiple files or folders
  • Content of a file at a document
  • Revision of a document (the API only provides the latest revision of a document)

With this API you can manage the documents with a specific set of its attributes. You can therefore create, read and change them.

Examples:

  • Change the status of a specific document in DATEV Document Management
  • Search all documents that are saved in an specific folder
  • Save a file with its attributes in DATEV Document Management

Access rights, which are managed for the user in DATEV IAM, are validated in this API. For further information, see API-Documentation
