Implementation of Solutions/APIs in the DATEV cloud sourcing environment

With DATEV cloud sourcing, customers use their DATEV software directly from the DATEV cloud. DATEV offers the cloud sourcing solutions DATEVasp and DATEV-SmartIT, which are currently used by almost 9,000 customers. The server systems are located in the ISO 27001-certified DATEV data center.

DATEV Cloud Sourcing customers do not install their software themselves, but receive it from DATEV via a Remote Desktop System (RDS) within their DATEVasp or DATEV SmartIT system environment. IT experts take care of the maintenance and operation of the server systems. They also take care of the installation and updating of the DATEV software and all other on-premise components. On-Premise components must meet certain technical requirements in order to be installed and/ or usable.

Basic requirements DATEVasp & DATEV-SmartIT

The basic requirements for being hosting ready concerning our DATEV cloud sourcing solutions are listed below:

  • released for Windows Server (min. 2022)
  • can be used in terminal server environments
  • no administrator rights are required in the user context
  • Software is proxy-capable or the proxy server can be configured by the user
  • the standard ports 80 and 443 are used

The following criteria should also be met considering the hosting in DATEV-SmartIT:

  • Solution can be automatically (unattended) installed/updated (e.g. using command line parameters and/or configuration file)
  • No additional components (e.g. interface client, Java, etc.) or special hardware required
  • The software can be installed without specifying the license

The criteria differ depending on the use of the software. Please consider or check the applicable scenario: See chart "Differenzierung Cloud-, OnPremieses- und Cloud-Lösung mit OnPremises-Komponente(n)"

Requirements DATEVnet

DATEVnet is DATEV's security solution for protecting e-mail traffic and access to services on the Internet. In order to ensure a high level of security, there is no direct access to the Internet by customers. Instead, a so-called proxy service is used. DATEVnet is offered as an independent on-site security solution in the company and is also used in connection with DATEV cloud sourcing (DATEVasp or DATEV-SmartIT).

The following requirements should be met:

  • Software is proxy-capable or the proxy server can be configured by the user
  • the standard ports 80 and 443 are used
  • the software is not validated by TLS certificates
  • no web sockets are used when communicating with Internet services
